The Center offers a number of community-based programs. Our programs include:
Caring Closet
Offers gently used clothing, shoes, books, and accessories. The caring closet is open to the community and for donation drop off Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm.
ElderShare/Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
Through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), income-eligible seniors can receive much-needed supplemental food packages (boxes) on a monthly basis.
ElderShare is a monthly supplemental food program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Food for ElderShare is provided by the USDA Department of Food and Nutrition Service. ElderShare food packages do not provide a complete diet, but rather are good sources of the nutrients typically lacking in the diets of lower-incomeseniors.
See the Future: Low-Cost Eyeglasses
Low-cost eyeglasses are available for families in need. All families must have the prescription. Payment for glasses must be paid prior to ordering. For additional information or to schedule an appointment, please contact the Center at 717-233-6541.
